Our School Community
Together with parents, the School’s Board of Governors and our external partners and sponsors, pupils and staff are now at the centre of a vibrant and diverse community, united around the pursuit of high quality British education for an international future.
Our community includes children from over 64 countries, with British pupils accounting for just under half of the open, friendly and talented pupil population. Our students are prepared to meet the highest standards as they leave us to move on to the next phase in their education, wherever in the world that may be.
Children learn best with the integrated support of school and home and we recognise the enormous contribution that parents make to their educational progress. We encourage parental participation in school events and voluntary work within the school. We have an active Parents' and Friends Association who organise a range of social activities for BSM families raising much appreciated funds for school developments.
Our teaching staff are highly motivated and conscientious. All have UK-recognised qualifications and have wide and recent experience of teaching in the British tradition. Staff update their skills and knowledge throughout the school year, taking advantage of training courses both within Muscat and internationally. - Visit the staff page
Working with our teaching staff, often ‘behind the scenes’, is our excellent team of support staff, which includes those in the school offices, the classroom assistants, the medical team and the maintenance department, all of whom work hard to ensure you and your children receive the best possible service in a first class environment. - Visit the staff page
Board of Governors
The board of governors plays a key role in directing the strategy of the school and ensuring it is in line with best British practice. It is comprised of voluntary representatives from our founder companies along with two parent governors and two teacher representatives. - Visit the Governors page
We are fortunate to receive support from local companies to enhance our already extensive enrichment programme.
