At GCE AS Level (usually sat in Year 12) and GCE A Level
(usually sat in Year 13), grades A – E are a pass and the
percentage achieved by a school is a measure of
performance. Additional measures are the percentage of A & B grades and the Average Point Score (APS). APS is
calculated by awarding a set number of points per grade;
with A attracting the highest number of points and E the
lowest. The average is then calculated. Our results are:

| Exemplary Standards at GCE – Straight As |
| |
|
|
|
| Of the 24 Year 13 students who completed their GCE A
Level studies in June 2008, five (20.8%) gained straight A
grades and four of these gained four A Levels rather than the
usual three. Isabel Wassing also gained a full GCE A Level
at the end of Year 12, which brings her total of grade As
gained at BSM to five. |
