We are delighted to welcome you to the Primary section of our website.

Whether you are prospective parents thinking of moving to Oman, a colleague working within education or an existing pupil, parent or member of the extended family wishing to keep up to date with events at school, we hope that you find our website informative and that you gain a clear insight into the Primary section of the school.

We are very proud of our talented teachers and assistants at BSM. The school also benefits enormously from a high level of parental support. Together we are committed to providing every pupil with an education that will recognise their strengths, celebrate their achievements, challenge and inspire.

The School has established an excellent reputation, sustained over time, for high academic standards and pastoral care.

If you ask our Primary pupils what they love most about BSM their answers consistently relate to three features:

Learning is fun. The children appreciate the time and thought teachers put into making learning fun, and personalising teaching and learning to better meet their needs. They regard themselves as active learners and can talk confidently about their progress and what they need to do to improve still further.

Variety/impact. Whilst learning in the classroom is fun, ask most of our children about the highlights of their year and they will describe the theme days, class or year group assemblies, sports competitions, arts events, day trips, residential visits or cultural events. These events build self-confidence and often allow children to work collaboratively, which helps to develop skills such as empathy, resilience and risk taking.

People care. They feel safe and happy. Children are friendly. They like the buddy system as a means of welcoming new children. As pupils move through the school they feel supported and challenged. They are confident that people will listen if they have a problem and that action will be taken to resolve any issues.

Visitors touring the school often comment on the purposeful atmosphere and warmth that greets them. We would be delighted to welcome you to our school.
