Download Activities Booklet Term 3

It is a feature of life at the British School-Muscat that a large and varied extra-curricular activities programme is offered to the students each term.

The programme is offered by the staff and supported by parents and friends of the British School. It reflects the diverse interests and capabilities of both the providers and the recipients.

The activities on offer do change from term to term so please check to make sure the activity is running again this term. If any student has a request for an activity then please come and discuss your proposal with me directly. Expansion and innovation are always welcome and will be accommodated whenever possible.

This year the booklet is arranged in several sections: Subject related and non-subject related, Sport, Music and Community. Each section shows the activities on offer on a daily basis in both the Primary and Senior School.

HEAD OF SENIOR SCHOOL

The British School – Muscat's Senior School is a vibrant, multi-cultural community made up of students from currently thirty-eight different nationalities. Our staff and students are united by the medium of the English language in a caring, friendly and happy atmosphere which resonates throughout our school.

In recent years, the Senior School has grown considerably both in terms of the number of students on roll and the breadth of courses on offer to our students. However, by ensuring that class sizes are kept low, the quality of education we offer to our students is first class. Our public examination results are outstanding. In the 2009 - 2010 academic year, 90% of our Year 11 students attained 5 GCSEs graded A* to C. At 'A' Level, 70% of grades awarded to our students were A* to B.
