Pastoral Care

At BSM we have a clear understanding of the relationship between pastoral care and academic progress. We want our students to learn at a deep level, to flourish academically and socially and to leave us as secure individual, resourceful learners and respectful contributors. Pastoral Care is central to this and comprises all that British School Muscat undertakes to support and promote students’ personal and social development, physical and mental well-being and academic progress.

We are committed to ensuring that each student receives a broad and balanced curriculum, which will help develop their self-esteem and equip them to choose a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle. It will enable them to be more informed, confident and skilled to interact effectively with others and enable them to take an active and responsible part in society.

A strong link between student, teachers and parents is crucial if we are to achieve the above and we hope that much of the information shared with you, via the pastoral care section of the website, will enable you to be an integral part of your child’s development.
