We recognise the importance of developing the potential of the next generation of world leaders. To this end, we have a range of student leadership programmes and opportunities.
Our Student Leadership Team is led by our Head Girl and Head Boy, who are eager and willing to make a difference at BSM. They continuously communicate with fellow students and staff to effectively lead change within our school and community. There are a range of opportunities, with students thriving in roles of sports captains, young leaders, sports leaders, dance leaders, language ambassadors or eco warriors, to name a few.
Leadership means different things to different people around the world, and different things in different situations, but for us at BSM, Leadership is about creating a vision for a better future at BSM, inspiring students to help share ideas for this vision, effectively managing and organising projects and working as a team to develop a wider picture of what students want to change.
In collaboration with the Council for British International Schools (COBIS) we have developed a Student Leadership programme which sees students in both the Primary & Senior Schools undertake a leadership role in school. This role focuses on a specific and real area of school improvement, but most importantly supports them to learn about leadership in the process.
Through this programme we give students real and meaningful responsibility in order to have a genuine impact on school life, as well as develop valuable skills for the 21st Century.
